In this week's report, the number of homes sold in the Alameda County market slid to 1,291 over the past 30 days, a decrease of 5.0% from last week's report, but still above the monthly average. On the other hand, close-by Santa Clara County registered 1,362 home sales in the same period, the most of all surrounding counties. The median sales price dropped to $725,000, down from last week's $735,000. In spite of the decrease in sales, a low one month of inventory signals that Alameda County is a strong seller's market.
